A change of name or address may be recorded for trademark applications and registrations. The process ensures that trademarks remain registered under the correct details of the applicant or owner. Additionally, the change of agent is automatically recorded when providing a POA for post-registration actions, at no cost.

For a change of name, the following documents are required: A POA in the new name, simply signed (original not required). A certificate of the change of name or an extract from the commercial register, with a French translation. For a change of address, only a simply signed POA with the new address is required. Simple copies of these documents suffice, and originals are not needed. The POA can be filed later, within 30 days of filing the recordal application, with no late submission fees. Each action (change of name or address) is processed separately at official fees, even if filed simultaneously.
